Brad Pitt
William Bradley Pitt was born December 18th, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He has one sister Julie and one brother Doug. His parents Jane Etta a high school counselor and his father William, a truck company owner moved the family to Springfield, Missouri shortly after Brad was born.
Brad attended Kickapoo High School where he excelled at sports including tennis, swimming and golf. He also participated in the Key Club, forensics clubs, musicals and school debates. After graduation, Brad attended the University of Missouri and majored in journalism. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and participated in many fraternity shows. Following his love of acting, 2 weeks before graduating, Brad left school and moved to Los Angeles to take acting lessons from Roy London.
Brad started his career by getting a small television role in the TV show Dallas. He became more of a household name when in 1991 he played a sexy hitchhiker in the movie Thelma & Louise. Next, came bigger roles like starring in A River Runs Through It in 1992 and An Interview With a Vampire in 1994, also starring Tom Cruise.
He received his first Golden Globe Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the film Legends of the Fall starring alongside Anthony Hopkins in 1994. In 1995, he starred alongside Morgan Freeman in the thriller Seven. Brad received a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Academy Award nomination in the Science Fiction movie 12 Monkeys.
In 1999, Brad starred in the critically acclaimed movie Fight Club. By 2001, Brad starred in the international hit Ocean’s Eleven. Soon the successful sequels followed, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen. Brad Pitt had his best success with the films Troy and Mr. and Mrs. Pitt. In 2008, Brad starred in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button which earned him another Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
In 2009, Brad starred in the Quentin Tarantino film Inglourious Basterds. He played the popular Lt. Aldo Raine. A relentless officer hunting Nazis in 1944. The film received 8 Academy Award nominations with one win for Best Supporting Actor.
Brad Pitt met Friends star Jennifer Aniston in 1998 and the two became inseparable. In 2000, Brad married Jennifer. The golden couple as they were often called divorced in 2005. Jennifer filed for divorce and cited irreconcilable differences.
Brad soon after became involved with sexy star Angelina Jolie. Many speculated that he had an adulterous affair with Angelina on the set of their movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Brad denies all of the allegations but does say that on the set is where he fell in love with her. The two have been together ever since.
Angelina had one adopted little boy from Cambodia Maddox. Brad traveled with Angelina to Ethiopia where they adopted their second child Zahara. In 2007, Angelina adopted her son Pax from Vietnam. Brad later adopted him as his son in the United States since the orphanage did not allow unmarried couples to adopt.
In May, 2006, Angelina gave birth to their first child Shiloh. She was born in Swakopmund, Namibia. On July 12th, 2008, Angelina gave birth to a twin boy, Knox and a twin girl, Vivienne Marcheline in Nice, France.
When he’s not traveling around with his large family, Brad has found time to be a producer and philanthropist. In 2006, he and Angelina established the Julie-Pitt Foundation. They aid humanitarian cases all around the world. They are big supporters of Doctors Without Borders and Global Action For Children. Brad continues to act, produce and play a big part in many humanitarian causes.
